In modern day capitalism credit is something that stimulates the economy. In a fully-functional economy credit is something that is required to constantly ensure that there is a good, healthy amount of expenditure to fuel the economy. The issue is that there is also a misuse of credit which can have the opposite effect. If you misuse this credit then you are unable to repay it and then this will cause debt. Debt is very bad for an economy and this will slow down the growth of an economy which is something everyone wants to avoid. This is why the National Credit Act is some important. The National Credit Act is a list of regulations that ensure that people don’t misuse credit.

Another thing the National Credit Act avoids is that people do not use credit when they have cash. Many people like to have physical money as a way for them to feel financially secure, but sometimes this then translates into them using this cash so conservatively that they’d rather use credit than the cash. This is very bad as one can always run out of cash and realize you have nothing left, but you can’t really run out of credit. This is very dangerous to the economy and if you have people using credit instead of cash you need to stop them. This is something that is regulated by the National Credit Act. This act exists purely to protect consumers, employers and employees and is not out there to discourage you from buying with credit. You should respect this act and comply with the regulations.
