Course outline
This Unit Standard is designed to provide credits towards the mathematical literacy requirement of the NQF at Level 2. The essential purposes of the mathematical literacy requirement are that, as you progress with confidence through the levels, you will develop:
- A confident, insightful use of mathematics in the management of the needs of everyday living to become a self-managing person
- An understanding of mathematical applications that provides insight into your present and future occupational experiences to enable you to develop your skills in the workplace

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Apply various techniques to organise and represent data in order to model situations for specific purposes. Give opinions on the implications of the modelled data for the required purpose.
